With over a decade of experience in the ambulance service since 2006, we've seen the impact of poor first aid. That's why husband & wife Jason & Jenna launched JL First Aid in 2020, committed to providing top-tier training at an affordable price. Our courses are regulated and accredited by Ofqual and First Aid Awards, ensuring they meet Health & Safety Executive and Ofsted standards.
The courses are primarily led by Jason, who has been working full-time for the ambulance service since 2006. Jason is a registered paramedic, currently working in the role of Local Operations Manager and an Operational Commander. In his role, he attends the most severe incidents to manage the scene from the ambulance service's perspective, so he has extensive experience in this field.
Jason's wife, Jenna, occasionally co-teaches the courses with him, Jenna spent 10 years working as a registered nurse in A&E before transitioning to a sister specialising in frailty after having children. She is now a Community Matron working in the local villages.
Let's face it, the idea of first aid training can make people feel uncomfortable and nervous. We've been through this ourselves during our career training, so we understand how you feel! We strive to make our courses informal, lighthearted, and enjoyable. We often conduct sessions for smaller groups and are happy to come to your site for group bookings if that suits you. With JL First Aid, no one leaves a course feeling underconfident or nervous!
